Baker of Treats, Maker of Memories

Welcome to Full Hands, Full Plates-

Hi, I'm Shannon.

If there’s one place that feels like home to me, it’s the kitchen. It’s where I unwind, reset, and make sense of the chaos - usually with something baking and at least one kid asking what’s for dinner.

Full Hands, Full Plates is a reflection of real life: busy days, full schedules, loud kitchens, and food that brings everyone back to the table.

Finding My Calm in the Chaos

Where food becomes comfort and memories are made.

I love hosting. Game day spreads, family dinners that turn into late nights, classroom celebrations where I volunteer to bring one thing and somehow show up with three.

I love food that brings people together-the kind that gets passed around the table while stories are told, kids run through the house, and nobody checks the clock.

Cooking has always been my way of showing love. It’s how I celebrate the big moments and survive the hard ones. When life feels loud, overwhelming, or just plain messy, I head to the kitchen. Chopping, stirring, tasting-something about it slows my mind and reminds me that I’m creating something good, even on the hardest days.

Some of my favorite memories have been made right here, surrounded by food, laughter, and full plates.

Full hands, full plates - literally

I’m a mom of six, with kids ranging from grown to still nursing. These days, life looks like back-to-back pregnancies, breastfeeding a baby, toddlers underfoot, and dinners that need to happen whether the day went smoothly or not.

This space was created for moms living real life -where showers feel like accomplishments, coffee gets reheated three times, and meals need to be comforting, doable, and forgiving. I believe in shortcuts, simple ingredients, and food that works for any season you’re in.

Why This Space Matters to Me

Comfort through hard times

After losing my husband several  years ago, I learned just how powerful comfort can be -and how much healing can happen in the kitchen with family.

During a time when life felt heavy and uncertain, cooking gave me something steady. Something warm. Something I could create, even on the hardest days. Making food he loved made me feel close to him. Like he was still with me in the kitchen.

That experience shaped the heart of this space. Full Hands, Full Plates is about nourishment - not just food, but the moments, routines, and small comforts that carry us through. Love and memories that are made in the kitchen.
